MY TEAM IS THE BEE'S KNEES!

BUZZWORTHY!

AS OUR INTEREST AND EDUCATION IN BEES GREW, WE COULD SEE THE REAL WORK WAS BRINGING IT TO THE COMMUNITY.  AND WE LOVE OUR WORK!                          Bee Present Honey is a beekeeping and Education business. We keep hives in Washtenaw County, Michigan to produce the best possible local products from the hive. From honey and beeswax to health and beauty, bee derived products are truly beneficial in so many ways. We also do community outreach teaching about the important jobs bees have in our lives. Pollination, the healing properties of bee products, and of course the joy of honey.  We teach about what beekeepers do and the relationship we have with our bees.     We visit: Libraries | Schools | Scout Troops | Homeschool groups | Community events | Fairs and Festivals | Pollinator Celebrations| Environmental Events| And More! We engage all ages in the under-appreciated and sometimes misunderstood, beautiful honey bee.

SWEET Bee-GINNINGS

Rebecca started keeping bees along with her kid in 2013 with a single hive. Right away she was hooked. A few years and many hives later she started Bee Present Honey, an organization that promotes pollinator education, local beekeeping in Washtenaw County, Michigan and all natural products from the hive. She, along with her husband Owen are very active in the community doing farmer’s markets, pollination events and bee and honey festivals. Bee Present Honey educates at community events like the Native Plant Expo, BeePalozza, Festival of the Pollinators and more.

MEMBERS OF THE HIVE

Rebecca has been in education most of her career teaching in Special Education and Culinary & Hospitality. She is currently the Community Director at the University Commons. She has a BBA in Management and Comprehensive Communication from Eastern Michigan University.
